Dee Dee's New Halloween Adventures

Ravenhome's favorite little Halloween witch Dee Dee is off on a new adventure this year!

Some of you may remember Dee Dee from a few years back when she arrived at my home as I thought she was super cute, but she was in need of a major makeover. And I gave her one.

Shortly afterwards she rose in popularity at the raven house, made a name among the local doll circles and cliques, and was elected homecoming witch for the Halloween season. ;) For the past few years she's been the face of the Fall holidays around here. Dressed for success in her Fants'y witch Frock, Fabulous Witch Hat, and cute crafty broom, she was displayed every year alongside the candy corn and caramel apples, where she got a lot of attention and loved every minute of it. :)

But this year, DeeDee revealed to me she was getting a little bored of the gig and wanted to find a new holiday adventure. As I've been paring down my doll collection, Dee Dee had been watching a lot of her friends leave Ravenhome over the last year and felt it was time to stretch her wings too. (Actually, it would be more like stretch her broomstick, if that's possible.)

And what could I say? Her best friend Anna-Hannah had left some time the previous year, so it would hardly be fair for me to hold her back.

So this month Dee Dee packed her Fabulous Witch Hat and cute crafty broom and prepared to set off for that yellow brick road to the future. When her remaining Ravenhome friends told her they were sad to see her go, Dee Dee told them that life is always moving forward, and if you don't go with it, you just get left behind! They had to admit she had a point.

So here is Dee Dee waving goodbye from her soon to be shipping box. She sure was eager to go! She couldn't wait to be heading off to a new life and all new adventures.

What will the future bring her? A new life as a play doll? A glamorous modeling career? Maybe even a new witch gig, who knows?
