More Divah Stuff

I'm still Positively Perfecting it up this week: for starters I got one of the brand new collection Positively Perfect dolls to review, and I was kind of surprised at the final assessment! I'll be talking all about that in more detail soon.

More immediately however, is that after two or three years of searching, I finally got my hands on the original Taylor!

Review: Our Generation Rafael

This week I'm really happy to be reviewing Target's Our Generation new boy doll Rafael!

Rafael is pretty special because he's the first ever Our Generation boy doll. He's not, however, the first boy from Battat, the company who makes Our Generation dolls. In the 1990s, Battat had another 18" doll collection called Collector's Lane Kids, which included one boy doll and four girl dolls. [node:read-more:link]

New "Divahs" at Funrise Toys

Funrise Toys is launching the new line of Positively Perfect dolls. "Motivated by the dreams and efforts of Dr. Lisa Williams, this collection of dolls encourages girls to embrace their unique qualities and personalities by standing behind who they are!"

The collection includes six dolls of African American, Hispanic, and Caucasian ethnicity, and sends the message that "Standing out is totally in!"

Review: My Life As School Boy (Blond)

Last year's debut of My Life As School Boy dolls by CItyToy stirred up the 18" boy doll market with their two school boys, giving AG's Logan Everett a run for his money. I reviewed them here.

This year My Life As has two more School Boys, this time in a bookish or preppy theme, as opposed to the sporty/ urban theme of last year's boys. I was able to pick up the blond boy this week to review.

New Kids on the Block

Wow, so it looks like both My LIfe As and Our Generation each have a brand new boy doll to compete with American Girl's Logan Everett! 

These guys look really cute and I hope I get a chance to review one (or both) of them soon. The new My Life as a School Boy looks like a blond version of the Caucasian school boy by My Life as, but with a bookish flavor. I love it!
