LRC Custom Dolls

Two random dolls, because reasons. . .

Today my two random dolls were randomly selected from my list of custom dolls, LRC Charmers and The Cool Ones. They dont have names; they're both prototypes for future dolls.

Both the dolls use face sculpts by Pat Secrist (I adore Secrist faces!): Annette on the left, and Punkin the little princess on the right. [node:read-more:link]

Springfield Collection Dolls

The Springfield Collection by Fibre Craft describes itself as "a brand of fun, fashionable and affordable 18-inch dolls, clothing, accessories and furniture." Their modestly priced 18" dolls have have been a popular alternative to the costlier American Girl dolls, but the current Springfield Collection dolls are the result of a long evolution, beginning in the mid 1990s. Back!

After a month away, hmm maybe two, I'm back with some new, upcoming posts, including more AG Friends, Doll Rescues, and Two Random Dolls.

So I had a few things I needed to square away, plus I took a little bit of time off to learn how to animate and also do some writing. I'm kind of one of those jack-of-all-trades people, master at none.

My Twinn 18" Pearl and Kim

Two random dolls, because reasons. . .
So today my two random dolls are not so random. They're 18" My Twinn Pearl and Kim. I've been on a mission for these girls for awhile; they're a bit harder to find. I missed one or two eBay auctions in that time but was finally able to get both of them!

My bigger quest is to get all four 18" Asian molds, Pearl, Kim, Berkeley, and Cai. I've collected three of them in the last year and hopefully I'm zeroing in on the last.

My Life As Dolls

My Life As dolls first appeared in 2012 when Madame Alexander introduced a new 18" play doll collection which featured dolls in different life roles, and were sold exclusively through Walmart. MA had been partnered with Walmart the year before for their 2011 Friends Boutique collection but replaced them with the new My Life As dolls. [node:read-more:link]

Review: My Life As School Boy

I couldn't wait to get my hands on CitiToy's My Life As School Boy, although I guess I'm a little late to the party. They debuted last year!

Actually, when I originally began this review, I only had the Caucasian doll. But I held off completing it until I tracked down the African American doll to get a more complete review in the end. Good things come to those who wait.
